Simpler Times

Before electricity

What is it like to live in a simpler time.

Not always better, but not always worse.

Still hard days work but with many last distractions.

Gathering with family and friends around the light of a lamp.

Instead of being illuminated by the light of our phone

Conversing with real people, not watching others converse with them selves.

Bringing people together not farther apart.

That doesn’t mean there weren’t issues.

That doesn’t mean all is well.

Sometimes I wish I could go back to those simpler times
